The African Montessori Hub (AMH) is a continent-rooted initiative designed to support the growth of Montessori education, honoring and reflecting the cultural identities, languages, and lived experiences of African children and families. Grounded in the belief that education should be liberatory, joyful, and community-driven, the Hub exists to expand access to Montessori for underserved populations while reimagining what Montessori looks like through an African lens.
Contact usAfrica is home to the world’s youngest population, and yet access to nurturing, child-centered early education remains limited in many regions. At AMH, we believe the time is now to re-center African voices in education, reclaim intergenerational knowledge, and co-create Montessori practices that serve, reflect, and uplift our communities.
Montessori on Wheels (MoW) is a nonprofit organization based in Denver, Colorado, dedicated to delivering high-quality, culturally affirming Montessori education directly to communities historically excluded from early childhood learning opportunities. Through a mobile classroom model, MoW transforms buses into vibrant Montessori learning environments that travel to schools, neighborhoods, and community centers across the Denver metro area.
MoW is rooted in a vision of racial and educational justice. Its programs center the experiences of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) children and families, bringing joyful, hands-on learning into spaces where access to early childhood education is limited. The organization also offers Montessori training and mentorship to Black and Brown parents and caregivers, empowering families to be educators in their own homes.
From after-school enrichment and targeted intervention to summer learning and parent partnerships, MoW is reimagining what equitable, community-based education looks like—on wheels and beyond.
The Institute for Nurture and Innovation (TINI) is a Montessori Teacher Education Program committed to preparing educators to lead with heart, cultural relevance, and transformative impact. TINI is currently an Applicant in Good Standing with the Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education (MACTE) for its Infant/Toddler course in both Houston, Texas, USA, and Harare, Zimbabwe. As an inaugural pilot program approved by the Teacher Action Commission at the American Montessori Society (AMS), TINI is breaking new ground in adult Montessori education, blending innovation, global collaboration, and diverse practicum options. The program is actively pursuing AMS Affiliation.
TINI’s mission is to equip educators with tools to transform learning environments, whether in classrooms, home visits, or even prenatal support. Rooted deeply in Montessori philosophy, TINI offers an experiential, context-driven approach that nurtures independence, curiosity, and a lifelong love for learning in adults. Because Montessori is not just for children, it’s a way of being.
Whether you're a parent, educator, policy advocate, or global partner, we invite you to join us in building a Montessori movement that is truly African in spirit and has a global impact.
